Welcome to Gaylaxicon 2009! Gaylaxicon is a fantastic and — dare we say — fabulous event that gives all of us who appreciate LGBT characters and themes in science fiction, fantasy, horror, and comics an opportunity to socialize and share ideas. Gaylaxicon will provide you with a greater depth and breadth of GLBT related topics than other SF conventions. Converse with other fans who examine the genre through queer life experiences. Gaylaxicon welcomes all fans regardless of sexual and gender identity or planet of origin. Gaylaxicon 2009 will include: Art Show, Autographs, Cabaret, Charity Auction, Costuming, Dealers Room, Discussion Panels, Gaming, Guests, Local Events, Parties, Readings, Video Program, and more! More details on all of these will be coming soon. Hotel: Doubletree Hotel Minneapolis - Park Place Rates start at $140 for a 1-2 person standard room. Deluxe and suite level rooms are available. Convention rate registration will start on October 9, 2008 (one year in advance of the con). Click here for more information. Help us make a better convention (and meet our hotel room contract) and book through our room block. Registration: Thanks to a service called Eventbrite, we are now able to handle online registrations with payment through PayPal. (You don't need a PayPal account.) Of course, we still provide an downloadable registration form that you can use to pay off-line. |
