I’m actually kinda new to the who SciFi convention thing. I’ve been to CONvergence twice and it looks like I’ll be taking on the party room organization there. In real life I’m a grad student. I got my MBA 2 months ago and started my second masters 2 weeks later. I’m currently getting a Masters of Project Management.

In the past I’ve been an Executive Administrative Support type person thingy. I’ve organized mass trainings and other major events in the past so this kind of job is not unfamiliar to me.

I’m will be celebrating 17 years with my husband, Steven, this coming month. We’re slowly restoring a Victorian home built in 1886 in the Midway section of St Paul.  I’ve also been going to the MN Renaissance Festival for 16 years with my husband. I’m originally from TX but have lived in NY, IA, and LA to boot. Been here since 1992. I’m 5’7”, 230#,… oh wait, you didn’t want that kind of a bio did you? Never mind…

For hobbies, I study ancient Egypt. I love to sew and make costumes (You can see some at http://mrffriends.tripod.com/pages_people/schug_costumes.html). I read extensively, including a lot of sword and sorcery, just can’t get enough of that. The Lord of the Rings was what started it all.  I love to travel, been to England twice, Scotland once, and the last big one was 18 days, including Easter, in Italy 2 years ago. Next trip is Paris in 2010. I’ve been all over the U.S.
